i’m not gonna lie. I was more than a little nervous for my mini sessions. the night before i was up way too late with blood shot eyes, feeling sick because of my nerves. i almost felt numb, cleaning my lenses, clearing my cards, stocking up on candy and other bribing methods. Seeing as how I’d never tried cramming a nice family session into only 30 minutes before, I had no idea what to expect. in fact, i expected the worse.
but you know what i got? super, major, mega blessed. Despite the rain the night before, the weather was absolutely perfect. every single child i met that day was beyond adorable, but more importantly, cheerful (and photogs out there, you KNOW that’s not always the case). my husband stood by my side, literally, with hand puppets to draw out those extra smiles. and things really couldn’t have gone better. here’s a little taste.
these first three shots are actually of the amazing Lamott family, who came back for an early mini session slot after their session the evening before had to end early due to some yucky rain.
